Sho Kazamatsuri is a middle school student who has a dream of becoming a world class soccer player. Because of his small stature and lack of real experience, Sho is thrown on the third level of subsititues at Musashimanori School, an elite soccer school, meaning he never actually got to play. He decides to transfer to a smaller school, Josui Junior High, so that he would have a better chance of being able to play. But hearing that he came from the fabled Musashimanori, his new teammates wrongly assume that he is already an incredible player. We follow Sho as he struggles to improve his skills, make the team, and befriend his new teammates. This is a very wonderful manga series that is fit for all ages and teaches the basics behind soccer while narrating a very fun plot and group of lovable characters. Very intricate and beautiful illustrations, as well as inspiring morals sprinkled throughout. This is the first volume of 24, and the larger theme of the series follows Sho as he grows and works his way towards becoming the best soccer player he can.
