This book tells the story of a boy who was fascinated by the moon. He decorated his room with the solar system and had a lot of resources about moonlanding. The illustrations, which were done in oil, were very fuzzy , but had a dreamy, child-like look. I would introduce this book in science when talking about the solar system. ( ) Mark Haddon shares his childhood dream and recollection of the Apollo 11 landing on the moon and the first men to step foot - and how today he still gazes up at the moon and imagines what it's like 200 thousand miles away on the cold and lifeless moon.
