I find myself wondering how this is on a list of 'Best Shifter M/M' books, but it probably comes down to personal taste. This is a shorter book, so I expected things to be somewhat quick or unresolved, but everything happens way to fast to even be believable. In fact, the dynamic between the main characters seems almost nonsensical and actually made me just a bit uncomfortable in trying to wrap my head around it. It's not entirely awful, and I give it 2 stars because I think it just hit enough of my personal buttons (the constant use of 'baby' as a pet name never sits well with me) for me not to like it, while it's entirely possible someone else would find it an enjoyable read. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

First let me say I love shifter books, especially werewolf shifter books, but I didn’t love this one.
It’s been three years since Anthony’s lover has died and his friend Steven convinces him to go to an exclusive club for paranormals. Anthony is so beautiful he ‘magics’ his appearance to normal so no one falls for him because of his looks. The reason he's so beautiful is because his grandfather is one of the legendary gods. I’m not even sure what his truly personality was except maybe wishy-washy. He’s supposed to be strong, but one minute he’s saying you can’t boss me, the next he’s simpering.
This book had everything thrown in it, but without any substance. There were a few lines to introduce an idea then on to the next one. It’s also supposed to be about D/s but the Dom Alpha Silver was more a nasty tempered brute who was just a bully with a spanking scene. Anthony fell in love almost instantly with someone he didn’t even know, he’d only gone to bed with him a couple times.
This wasn’t a very good book because so many things did not work. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, not even lovers of shifters and werewolf stories. I give this 2 Stars only because I finished it.
