Minimally researched (I could have written the first 3 chapters myself, just with information off the top of my head - of course I wouldn't: I would have included references and whose ideas, and why my conclusions were such and such...), and really quite dull, this book brings in little snippits of information from all over the world where they seem superficially connected, but actually are not at all. Ooh look, a Hopi word that bears similarity to the sound of a Celtic word - they must be linked... what crap. Sorry, I thought this book was not really very good, but now I come to review it, it makes me annoyed I wasted my time with it. This is not a new field for me, so I suppose if you are wholly ignorant of anything concerning the grail it might be... No, scrap that - much of the information is supposition based on incomplete research, or just making stuff up. So don't read this, it's poor, and that's the nicest thing I can say about it.
The culmination of many years research, The Serpent Grail takes the reader on a fascinating exploration of ancient myth, archaeology, etymology, religion, science, and much more. In keeping with true Grail tradition, the book is also a journey in search of the enlightenment and eternal life that were the reward for those who uncovered the secrets of the Grail, the Elixir, or the Stone.
'The Serpent Grail' tells the extraordinary story of the discovery of the ultimate secrets of some of the world's most enigmatic mysteries - including the Holy Grail, the elixir of life and the philosopher's stone. Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |
