When using this book I would use it teaching the younger grades by having them write down the descriptions of what it means to be a good friend. This would be good for the writing process as well as help students become good friends. They will be able to relate to the story since they always have best friends and will be able to relate. ( )

Cute illustrations. My sisters and I always read these books. We would go to the library and sit in the same spot and just read read read for hours. There are many different Little Critters books. Great memories. ( )

Although a bit nervous, he gets ready for the exciting day by picking out his clothes, finding his backpack, and packing his lunch. This interactive flap book keeps kids engaged through the entire book.

Little Critter tells about his first day of school. He goes through his morning routine and then tells everything he did at school. Little Critter is sad when it is time to go home. How did the day go by so fast? I think this book would be good to read of the first day of school. I would read it to kindergarten and 1st grade only. ( )
