Op dit moment geen Discussie gesprekken over dit boek. theology beyond modernity I loved almost everything about this book. Great coverage on the new perspective in chapter 1, great dialogue with Paul and Hauerwas and then Paul and Yoder in the subsequent chapters. Amazing, amazing work. The book falters near the end, with an extended critique of Wright's supersessionism and a somewhat muddled emphasis on election theology. It may be fair to say that I really enjoyed the author's treatment of other people's opinions but thought the book struggled when he started working with his own. Admittedly, that's because I didn't entirely agree with the conclusions he was drawing from the source material, but that doesn't mean the book isn't great. Because it is. If you are me, you will love this book. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
Outlines the political ramifications of Paul's writings, calling the church to embrace the political realm. Drawing on the Pauline doctrine of God's election of Israel, this book addresses the need for a Christian theology of Israel and Judaism. It is useful for pastors, teachers, students, and anyone seeking an understanding of Paul's letters. Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |
