A descriptive dictionary of English words and terms whose first appearance was in the bible. Words and phrases such as Sodom and Gommorah, puberty, salt of the earth, even excellent, seashore and wordy are included. Their first appearances are cited based on the translation the words came from and how each word has evolved in use and definition.
