This book tells the story of a family of Scarecrows. The little boy in the family desperately wants to go out into the cornfield to do what his dad does. The sun continues to tell the little boy no. The rest of the book is a story of attack and how the little boy bounces back.

This is a cute book about a little scarecrow boy that wants to do exactly what his father does, scare crows. He decides to run away one day to try and make the six faces that he has seen his father do, over time he realizes that he can't scare the crows away. Finally he does the sixth face, and all the crows fly away, behind him is his father. It's a good story that can be interpreted to help students believe in themselves.

the book belongs to fantasy fiction because the scarecrows in this book can do the ordinary things like human, which would not happens in the real world situation. the book is easy to read which can be suitable for the beginning readers and young readers. It describes that the growth of a little scarecrow boy. He was not approved by his father to go to the corn field to scare crows at the binginning. His father said that his is too young to scare any crow. But after he learned the 6 scarring face from his father, he sneaked to the corn field to have a try. He did not scare any crow after he used the first 5 scaring face, but the last one scare all the crows in the field away. His father stand behind of him, he is so proud of him. From that point on, the little scarecrow boy is able to scare cross in fields by his own. The book can be used in reading class and social study class. The book has beautiful illustrations and warm colors. ( )

This book was about a scarecrow who was learning from his dad how to be a good scarecrow. His dad would not let him out into the field yet because he was not ready, so he decided to sneak out early in the morning and try it for himself. He has 6 stary scarecrow faces, he had gone through 5 of them already and the crows were still following him, until he got to the 6th face, and he finally scared the crows. His dad was so proud of him.
