The first thing to say about this Omnibus is how spot-on/ realistic, and really great the artwork was in the first part of the book. The stories themselves were highly entertaining from throughout Spike's long undead life with the one of the best was the multi-parter Spike vs Dracula (although that had to be the worst artwork). The Asylum storyline was also quite a kicker as was the follow-up to the Smile Time Puppets (which had me giggling quite a bit with Puppet Spike and Lorne). Spike as a character is one that is quite comedic even while trying to be noble (as he tries to gain redemption for his hundred years of evil) but I couldn't think of him as a real head-liner until these stories. Quite enjoyable collection, indeed! :) ( ) geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

Wise-cracking and showboatin' William the Bloody has had his share of adventures during his long un-dead life, and the Spike Omnibus pulls them all together! Learn more about the bad boy of the Buffy-verse in Spike's earliest stories like Lost & Found, Old Wounds, and Old Times, then read along as Spike battles the lord of the undead in Spike vs. Dracula, and finally, catch up with Spike as he heads to the Asylum on a work-for-hire mission before heading to Japan to stop maniacal puppets in Shadow Puppets. It's more Spike than you can shake a sharp, wooden stake at! Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |
