The Incredible Hercules continues to be one of the smartest and funniest comic books out there right now. This volume has two storylines, as Hercules and Amadeus Cho have split up while Hercules deals with a grade-school version of his father, Zeus, and Amadeus searches for his missing sister. On the Hercules side, we find Hercules impersonating Thor, and vice versa, and this leads to the greatest fight scene between two gods, ever. For Amadeus, his ability to take in all the elements of a situation and react perfectly is re-explained in a completely science-fictional, and cool, way: he is actually choosing which of an infinity of possible universes to inhabit at any given moment. I have read stories with similar ideas before, but it still surprised me here and at the same time made perfect sense. Both stories are well done, and the art is pretty good--playful for Hercules' story, a bit more realistic for Amadeus'. ( ) geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
