Any dinosaur you can think of, this book can teach you how they lived, protected themselves, and had babies. You can learn about their heights, how much they weighed and where they lived. Very interesting book, if you are into dinosaurs. Perfect book to introduce dinosaurs in a biology or history curriculum. ( ) I really liked this book because they compared dinosaurs and their habits/environments to modern day animals and birds. This made the science content aspect of the book more easy for children to learn and comprehend. The text in the book allowed for excitement by using words such as earth shaking, lightening fast, and bone-crushing stampede to amplify the dinosaurs. The book also contained factual timelines of various dinosaurs and definitions. The only issue I have were that the images may by a bit too realistic and scary for younger children. However, boys would enjoy them. Summary - This book is all about the birth of dinosaurs and different kinds. It also shows the cycle of life from the egg to the birth of the dinosaur. There are several different names of dinosaurs mentioned in this book. Personal reaction - I loved the book! Children get excited about learning about dinosaurs. Extension I - Have color sheets with different kinds of dinosaurs for the students to color. Extension II - Have the pictures and names of the certain dinosaurs read in the book. Play a matching game with the students. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
