There are quite a few contradictions in the story that didn't help. She's ruined, she can be redeemed, she must go to the country but can come back in 6 months or so. Anyway, I didn't like Natalie at first, spoiled, willful, brave but a little dense. Turns out she's not so bad after all. Garrett was a tough nut to crack. He was closed off for a good reason but it also made him cruel. Glad he came around. There's a sad and lovely story to Garretts life that made me happy and then cry.

I loved how Lila and Vincent came together to make the best of a marriage that neither of them initially wanted. There is sweetness, tension, intrigue, and a dash of sorrow. There were some questions unanswered at the end, but they weren't enough to spoil my enjoyment.
