Eh, not for me. As I was reading, I was quite certain I was a carb addict...but I stopped in the middle (to read other things) and got more doubtful the more I thought about it. Now it feels like a horoscope - written in such a way that just about everyone will say "Yes! They're talking about me!". Some of the recipes may be mildly interesting (it's always good to get more veg into your diet), but a lot of them are trying too hard. Vegetarian "meat", or in this case "bread" and "pancakes", are usually not nearly as good as vegetarian vegetables - let the food be what it is, don't try to make it pretend to be something else.½

Not a great read. I honestly could not make it through without skimming large sections, which is rare for me. The dialogues are stiff and the plot is a short story stretched out into a novel. Pass.½

The authors lost weight by counting their carbs, and allowing themselves to have treats along the way that were not too damaging to the loss of weight. Unlike the Atkins diet, this one does not require super-human strength of resolve. Unhappily, it also allows for easy rationalizations and weight re-gain.

Starts off very slowly and never really gets a good pace going. A story of a hidden scroll, tzaddikim and conspiracy with some fundamental muslims and christians as the token baddies, this failed to impress me and really didn't give me any real urge to look for more by the authors.

There are some historical errors and several occasions that I had to wonder what the authors were trying to do with the story.

I've read worse, but I've definitely read better!

In shades of Dan Brown, a pattern expert is inexplicably lured into a search for a lost icon. Questions about who is a good guy and who is a bad guy abound. The authors could have done more research on temple era Judaic traditions for more realism. But it kept my attention and I am not sorry I read it.

A wonderful follow-up to the first book, The Carbohydrate Addict's Diet.
This book adds a few new suggestions, such as eliminating diet sodas and other artificial sweeteners, and has many other options for making the diet even more successful.
They also have a very lengthy scientific section in the beginning that explains exactly what goes on inside the carb addicts body. And proof of what excess insulin can do to your body if it goes unchecked.
Very good book and very good program!

I loved this book! It's like it was made for me. My nutritionist recommend that I do this program. Within one day I noticed a difference in my cravings and my jeans felt looser. I've been on it just under two weeks now and I still love the program. It even works on vacation. It's the most balanced low carb program I've ever tried. I think the daily reward will help me to continue to stick with it and see results.

I found this derivitive and inaccurate. There were no organs, never mund in churches in the 12 century - which this depends on - it ignores English history, the dissolution of the monastries might never have happened -½

Pure and utter bunny rabbit which makes the Da Vinci Code seem like a work of literature. The authors should have stuck with their diet book½
