The seventh in the series continues the same formula of good close-up photos plus wartime photos. Many of the photos are one to a page which allows the details to be clearly seen with the large photos. Each page has brief descriptions at the bottom of each picture.

Contents of issue 7:
M26 Pershing Tank:
36 pages with mostly in-action shots of the M26 during training, in WWII and Korea. A number of these have been seen before but do offer excellent diorama potential. There is also 9 pages with close-up detail shots of the M26 exterior plus some illustrations from the manual. The large photo format offers many good details and the details shots are just the thing for detailing the two T26E3 kits now available.

Japanese Type 94 Tankette:
4 pages of wartime photos of this vehicle with some nice details included.

Japanese Type 95 Tank:
10 pages with photos of a museum tank with good exterior details as well as a couple of interior shots.

Japanese Type 1 "Ho-Ni" I SPG:
9 pages of another museum vehicle with good exterior and interior shots.

Panther at the Front:
19 pages of wartime photos showing mostly Panther As with a few Ds in all wartime photos, again the full size photos offer some interesting details.

German 10.5cm gun:
Finally there are 13 pages of this German gun with a number also showing the Sd.Kfz.11 towing vehicle. Most of the photos are from the African campaign with a few Russian shots thrown in.

Recipes aside, the main draw of this book is the presentation. The photographs are fine examples of how to do it right, and combined with the layout and typography, one could read the book from cover to cover and be satisfied with consuming the contents visually. As a fan of macro photography, this book is right up my alley. The photos not only illustrate the food and drinks outlined in the recipes, they also present the items in a different perspective than what one might have at a cocktail party.
