An amazing story. Its so heartbreaking, although its fiction, we know it really happens which is so sad and in real life there is no-one looking for you or able to help.
It takes a realistic view of things, it has some heartbreaking scenes, particularly the photographs, that really shreds her.
Even when the get her back, its not an easy road.

The author has a way with words that pulls you in and keep your attention until the last page. Her narrative has an easy flow, elegant and emphatic as she takes us back to Pakistan.
Ally's life, her character and choices are realistic while she remains true to herself. Her growth and struggles heartfelt and believable.
I am looking forward to book 3 in this series to see if she finally finds the peace she deserves.

WOW! This was not what I was expecting but it turned out to be so much more and better. This was a psychological thriller that went from the States to Pakistan. It was really dark at times but well worth the angst because you had to keep reading to find out what was happening. Makes you think how you would react in the same circumstances and also scares the bejezus out of you thinking that it really could happen to you. Ms. Paul is definitely an author to keep an eye on because she certainly knows how to craft a story.

To me they needed their HEA together not with him being happy she's safe or happy he had helped her heal or whatever reason that is going to be given.
The only reason I would have considered reading this is to find out things that I felt were left out of the first book as it ended with her rescue and didn't deal with her healing and her future relationship with David. The whole fight was for their lives together and although it may be more realistic for him to be killed 'staged accident' it is not something I wanted to read about.… (meer)
