An amazing story. Its so heartbreaking, although its fiction, we know it really happens which is so sad and in real life there is no-one looking for you or able to help.
It takes a realistic view of things, it has some heartbreaking scenes, particularly the photographs, that really shreds her.
Even when the get her back, its not an easy road.
Well written. ( )

WOW! This was not what I was expecting but it turned out to be so much more and better. This was a psychological thriller that went from the States to Pakistan. It was really dark at times but well worth the angst because you had to keep reading to find out what was happening. Makes you think how you would react in the same circumstances and also scares the bejezus out of you thinking that it really could happen to you. Ms. Paul is definitely an author to keep an eye on because she certainly knows how to craft a story.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. ( )

This story broke my heart. The fact that this could have been a true story made it that much more realistic. I thought the story was going to be done and that Sara would get her happily ever after, goodness knows she deserved it, but the conclusion definitely segwayed into a new direction.

Highly recommend this book. ( )

This book was recommended to me and I am really happy I followed the link to discover this jewel at the end. The realism and genuine character of Ally/Sara captured me immediately. It was written with so much depth and emotion that I struggled to put it down.
The moment Ally was kidnapped and taken away to a life so different from her own and she had to adapt to a life filled with brutality and pain. But through it all, a family was formed that learned the value of love.
David's character lived on the other side of the coin and for two years he had to process his wife's disappearance. His character learned to continue amidst the uncertainty of his wife's whereabouts.
A heartfelt story is written with so much empathy and sincerity that I wish I can give the author more stars. A brilliant story I want to read more about. ( )

Warning: This story contains elements some readers may find offensive: violence, rape, death
