the underlying structure looks great, but after completing two chapters, I have only the slightest desire to discover what happens next - sadly I don't really care what happens to the characters I have been introduced to so far - well at least not enough to continue reading

Sorry just too much of the same plain vanilla space war where the authors don’t even bother to develop alien species. I think the m more of the multiple genre stories that get my attention.
