A rat poses as a chef by controlling a human like a puppet.
I'm a fan of Pixar in general, but this one in particular just doesn't do anything for me. I mean, it's not as bad as Cars by a long shot. But there's something about the story that rubs me the wrong way; the best I can do to pin it down is to say it felt sit-com-ish. But it's funny and fast paced and kind of cute, and the animation is all kinds of good, so whatever. ( )
The concept was interesting and the story and animation basically well-done, but I had some problems with the principles and development. The boy never actually learned to cook, and the rat's back-story should have included some reference to the dish ratatouille before he decided that was the one to risk his 'career' on. ( )
Remy, a resident of Paris, appreciates good food and has quite a sophisticated palate. He would love to become a chef so he can create and enjoy culinary masterpieces to his heart's delight.
