Bezig met laden... Ratatouille [2007 film] (2007)door Brad Bird (Director/Screenwriter), Jan Pinkava (Director/Screenwriter)2190 A rat poses as a chef by controlling a human like a puppet. I'm a fan of Pixar in general, but this one in particular just doesn't do anything for me. I mean, it's not as bad as Cars by a long shot. But there's something about the story that rubs me the wrong way; the best I can do to pin it down is to say it felt sit-com-ish. But it's funny and fast paced and kind of cute, and the animation is all kinds of good, so whatever. The concept was interesting and the story and animation basically well-done, but I had some problems with the principles and development. The boy never actually learned to cook, and the rat's back-story should have included some reference to the dish ratatouille before he decided that was the one to risk his 'career' on. Remy, a resident of Paris, appreciates good food and has quite a sophisticated palate. He would love to become a chef so he can create and enjoy culinary masterpieces to his heart's delight. The only problem is, Remy is a rat. When he winds up in the sewer beneath one of Paris' finest restaurants, the rodent gourmet finds himself ideally placed to realize his dream. (source: TMDB) |
