I'm not a big fan of stories where the main plot is waiting for a liar to be caught or confess their lie. FOR REFERENCE: Adapted by Bob Barkly and illustrators Carolyn Bracken & Ken Edwards from the television script "That's Snow Lie" by Scott Guy for the Clifford the Big Red Dog PBS Kids animated series, Season 2, Episode 1, February 12, 2002. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

=========
This Scholastic Big Red Reader takes advantage of the young reader’s interest in stories about Clifford the Big Red Dog. Here the child learns sees how Clifford, T-Bone, and Mac try to help Cleo get over her fear of the ice.
The target audience here is the young reader, ages two through eight, with the younger readers enjoying the story read to them while the older child may be able to read independently.
The unfolding story shows the young reader how friends watch out for each other. When Clifford, T-Bone and Mac convinced Cleo that they didn’t care if she looked silly, that they could all be silly together, they are showing the child how friends are accepting and supportive.
Highly recommended. ( )
