It is quite angsty.
The reasons for not telling the father until a later time are always a tricky one to handle I think. The reasons Teagan didn't tell Chase trickle through the story, it takes some time to hear it all. I think considering her age and the pressure she was under plus the misunderstandings made it reasonable for her to make certain decisions. I struggled more with the actions of the best friend.
It is well written and a times quite emotional, there is a very sick child so that plays on the heart strings but also the scenes between Chase and Teagan are quite emotional and certain things can't be undone. There is also a jealous ex or not so quite ex when the story begins.
There is an issue of cheating, although this is written to make it acceptable, to me they both cheated.
There was dual POV but also you had Macy's thoughts, it just seemed too much switching. Sorry but I didn't like it.
This book was not for me.
My heart nearly stopped beating from this book. As a mother, my heart ached. I cannot even imagine.
The reasons for the break up seemed a bit extreme to keep a secret to the length that the story de,and end. Great characters. Looking forward to Jensen's story.
I just finished this book and I am at a loss for words. It left me completely distraught.
This cliffhanger is like no other and even chapter 1 of book 2 won't answer your questions.
Besides the cliffhanger this book was pretty good. It had a strong storyline with likeable characters. Ryan is a sexy young man who is attending Med school and Julia is a beautiful young woman who is working at a Fashion magazine. Together they have decided to take their friendship to the next level.
Throughout the book they live a long distance relationship with a couple visits a year. Each visit is unique and shows what a strong bond they share. The romance is intense and the sex scenes are hot.... I just felt it was a little too lovey dovey for my liking. There were too many mushy words and they came off as obsessed with one another. I would have liked to see trouble within the relationship. Whether it be a hook up or mixed feelings... just something to kick it up a notch.
The Author did bring in some drama, but sadly the book came to an end shortly after leaving us all with questions.
The Agreement - What a beautiful story. Drake is a man's man with a dominant side. Kate is a girl who is curious about the lifestyle and not sure how to find out. They meet thanks to Lara who is helping Kate write a paper. Little did Lara know that Kate and Drake already know each other. A sweet catholic girl who is horrified to see Drake is the man to teach her everything. Drake introduces Kate to the world of D/s and together they start a journey. Dawn Kate's friend is bound and determined to tear them apart.
Finding Moore - I really enjoyed this. The idea of finding the love you lost years ago. You fall in love with this couple as soon as you realize what they have. However, CJ wasn't going to let Schooner go and did some unspeakable things to ruin what Mia and Schooner were growing into. Hell of a cliff hanger at the end. Looking forward to reading more. The only downfall I felt Mia's story was a bit long.
Forever Black - What an amazing story! Fall in love with Elle and Connor. Connor the millionaire playboy who didn't love and no one stayed the night who meets Elle the bold outspoken woman who steals his heart. Elle is hiding a dark secret and that secret could tear them apart. This story is one that tugs at the heartstrings. These 2 love each other so much but to damn stubborn to move forward. You will be a journey that twists and turns like no other. When Elle disappears the question is can Connor find her and will they live to be happily ever after.
Vital Signs - WOW what can I say...I have had books that tug at the heart and bring my emotions high but I have never experienced a book that actually made me cry. Sadie's sorrow is so deep and the author brings those emotions right to the page. You heart breaks page after page of the torment Sadie puts herself through. Until she meets Zander the one man who could open her heart again to love. Zander will do anything to make Sadie happy again. He holds a very precious gift that only Sadie can cherish as much as him. Can Sadie let go of Jake and find the happiness that is truly right in front of her or will she run back to her hiding place again.
Julia and Ryan’s love is more than put to the test. They each struggle with outside problem that are hanging over their head. No I will not explain about the outside forces nor will I go into a lot of details about this amazing book. If I did that then I it would not even be worth reading the book. Sorry I cannot write a review like that without putting in spoilers and they are not fun to write or read.
This book is a page turner that is so hard to put down. It will make you want to laugh and cry at the same time. To cheer on the characters hoping they will make it.
I apologize to the author for such a short horrible review. However I truly loved this book. So while you are traveling this weekend and sitting back in the seat looking at the scenery read this book. Take this to the beach and sunbath with the amazing book. It will grab your attention and never let it go After you have finished reading you will wonder where the time has went.

I loved this book. Angel was a breath of fresh air. She was smart, she made no apologies and she wasn't falling all over herself trying to get the hot, rich, alpha to love her forever and ever. She gave him a taste of his own medicine and it was amazing! I loved her spunk and fight.
That's not to say I didn't also love Alex. He was at the core a good guy. He lived his life thinking he had to be one way and Angel turned that all upside down. He was set in his bachelor life, he spent time with woman and made no promises to them. He gave them what he thought he could give and no more. Until Angel. Funny how when the right person comes along a whole way of life can be upended!
One thing I loved about this book was that it was a true story. There was no insta-love, in fact Alex and Angel didn't even meet until maybe 25% in? That's a lot of book! Not many authors could go that that long without losing the interest of the readers. Kahlen Aymes was able to do it and do it beautifully. That is the mark of a great writer!
I see more great things to come for Alex and Angel. Their story is definitely not over, not by a long shot!!

Angel seriously needs to learn that having someone care enough for you that they want to do anything to help and protect you doesn't make you weak.
But Alex, I freaking ADORE Alex. He is another one of those men that is a complete and total whore, but when the right woman comes along...he is all in. He goes all protective/Alpha/caveman...but in a sweet way.
Alex wants to protect and care for Angel.
Angel wants to prove that she can take care of her own damn self.
They both are hiding things.
They both need a lesson in honesty and how relationships work.
Kahlen Aymes has done a great job of creating these characters and keeping them true to themselves throughout the series. So many times characters become completely different people as books move on. Alex and Angel never do. Yes, they grow...but they are still THEM. I really appreciate that, because I know it's hard to do!
If you have read Kahlen's earlier works you know she is a great writer. However, having read many of her books I can see the growth she has gone through and can tell you that she is absolutely writing at a much higher level now. Her earlier books were good, her writing now is great.
If you haven't yet, go meet Alex and Angel. They are characters worth knowing. Even if they drive you to drink with some of their choices!
This is the end of a great Love story , a story of a very true soul induced Love story. This is the happily ever after for Ryan and Julia and this story shows that Love can endure it all and still come out stronger than before.
Ryan and Julia So much in love that they need each other to breathe. It is true love there is no doubt about that. When one hurts they both hurt. This Story is an amazing ending to one of the best Book Couple I have read . I am going to miss Julia & Ryan for sure. They will forever hold a special place in my heart.

You will cry, laugh, maybe even get a little angry when choices are made, But in the end you will be happy and you will still love this amazing couple.

I'll be honest, I thought this book would excite me like the cover did but sadly the slow romance, grammatical errors and some language structure issues were detrimental to my smooth reading of this novel.
While I understand the need for a slow build-up of romance since this is a trilogy and all, I find all the tension a bit dull. Also, I find the constant change of perspective between Angel and Alex a bit too jarring as I'm often left wondering who is now talking about whom.
The good points about this book is the sex scenes I guess...other than that, this book is a meh for me.
