I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Book 2 starts with Samantha after her break up and in need of a distraction. That's all good and well but my issue is comes up with her falling in to bed with the first guy who tickles her fancy and whom she doesn't know from Adam. That's okay if you're into empty relationships and meaningless sex but PLEASE USE PROTECTION GIRL! If this were real life, at this rate she's either going to get pregnant or worse catch something awful. I'd really like to know what kind of message the author is trying to put out there, especially with the genre labelled as Young Adult/Teens.

Book 1 is an entertaining and light read. Considering the book is about Samantha's sex life I get that the author gets pretty much straight to the point. But here is where I will get up on to my soapbox for a bit. The book is labelled for Young Adults and Teens. It's on the header of every page. But the question raised in my mind was, Would I like my teenager to read this? Jump into bed with the first guy who shows an interest, that too for her first time and without any birth control or protection? That's just straight up irresponsible writing. So my suggestion would be to reconsider a rewrite, look at the bigger picture and take stock of the kind of impression you want to leave on your readers.

This seems to be labeled YA in quite a few places, but it is definitely not! Maybe NA, but really just contemporary, steamy romance with hardly any plot (and what little there was left me scratching my head).

This was a fun story, but very short. I would have enjoyed a more drawn out story with the characters a little more fleshed out.

Samantha is working in Boston for her uncle. She has completed high school but never had a boyfriend. Until the police catch her breaking into her office because she locked herself out.

There is no plot, the characters were flat and the sex (there was no love in this story) was completely unrealistic. I would definitely not recommend this book to any young adult or teen.

I couldn't get into this book. I like lots of character detail and storyline and this lacked both. I didn't feel like I got to know the charcters and it just felt like a lot of loosely connected sex scenes.

Did not finish this book. Couldn't get past the first few pages. The whole scenario is unrealistic, the characters are poorly developed and unreliable, and the writing is one-dimensional. It was boring and I would not recommend this to anyone.

Did not finish. Was not really impressed with this one :(
The characters were undeveloped. The writing was one-dimensional and unrealistic. The sex scenes weren't that great either. I would not recommend this book to anyone.

This was badly written and really rather ridiculous. The heroine is (supposedly) a virgin and yet leaps into sex as if she's actually been doing it for years. It made me laugh but not in the right way. She's also very shallow indeed and I really didn't care about any of it, I'm afraid.

Not recommended.

Many of my concerns with the first book were repeated in the second book. Unprotected sex, characters undeveloped and too much sex for the limited plot provided. These stories seem to just be a backdrop to work out sex dreams and scenes. This story reads like a novella, not a book. There are some great touches of humor (yoga class) and interesting twists (natural disaster while abroad) but there's just not enough story to keep me interested.

I received this e-book as part of the Librarything Early Reviewers' program.

When this book began, involving a high school cheerleader and her boyfriend under the bleachers... I kept waiting for some form of protection to be used... But no. Then It turned out to be a dream... As did another steamy scene, so no problem.

But the overall premise of this book really bothered me. A young girl who has low self esteem falls for a handsome cop.. She doesn't tell him she's a Virgin, sleeps with him, doesn't use protection and is then devastated when he takes off after getting an emergency call. More scenes with low self esteem,etc... Followed by a neat tie-up and resolution.

I agree with an earlier reviewer that this short book should be rewritten. If this is a young adult book and involves sex, please have a condom nearby for the young lovers to use! And more character development would be good. Perhaps a couple more dates before they have sex. Have her tell him it's her first time.

The story seems rushed and somewhat incomplete.

I also found it odd that the person who sent the book for review asked for a 4-5 star review. I thought the idea of the Early reviewers program was to write an honest review, not be coerced by a free book.½

There's no love or romance in this shortish story just lust and longing. I wouldn't have picked it if I'd known how little plot there'd be and how trashy the relationships.
