If you haven't read any of this series, it may help to know that Teffinger is a Denver homicide detective who relentless pursues killers, generally serial
killers. All of the Teffinger books tell the story through three sets of eyes, Teffinger's eyes, those of a young female lawyer, and through the eyes of a crazed killer. They are well-written books that are fast-reading and really fun to read. They have a modern noir flavor. In this
one, Teffinger chases a serial killer halfway around the world. This tale
spans three continents and involves murder, ancient treasure, and a seductress.

Be forewarned that these books have been published under a number of different titles and different pen names.

This novel was a quick, fast paced read and, I could not put it down. It had all the usual Teffinger elements -- the dogged detective, the beautiful femme fatal, the crazy killer. However, this book was not
quite on the level of other Teffinger books, without giving away too many details, I did not think the veiled references to a well known attorney worked. And, some of the sub plots were only adequate. Overall, this was well worth reading, but simply not the crispest of these thrillers.
