History of the development and homes in the Rockhill Neighborhood of Kansas City, Missouri, by William Rockhill Nelson. The homes were built in the neighborhood of Nelson's mansion, Oak Hall, at 47th and Oak/Rockhill Road. Black and white photographs of many homes, landscaping, gardens, etc. Likely published after Nelson's death as Oak Hall was, at the time of publication, the residence of his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Irwin (Laura) Kirkwood--before the construction of the Kirkwood house immediately across Rockhill Road from Oak Hall which became the site of The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.… (meer)
