Nick Seluk decided to pursue his lifelong dream of being a professional cartoonist after serving nine years in the corporate world as a graphic designer. In his childhood, he drew inspiration from classes such as Calvin and Hobbes. The Far Side. Garfield. and The Simpsons. - Nick Seluk est un artiste américain diplômé de Northville High School. Il a obtenu un baccalauréat en psychologie de la Central Michigan University. Jusqu'en 2014, Seluk a travaillé comme graphiste senior , un travail qu'il a quitté en décembre pour faire du webcomics à temps plein. Son travail le plus connu à ce jour est le web comic "The Awkward Yeti", histoire qui suit la vie quotidienne d'un Yéti.
Nick a poursuivi son rêve de devenir dessinateur professionnel après avoir passé neuf ans dans le monde de l'entreprise en tant que graphiste. Dans son enfance, il aimait les classiques tels que Calvin et Hobbes, The Far Side, Garfield et The Simpsons.
Nick vit avec sa femme, trois jeunes enfants et un vieux chien adorable et raffiné dans la banlieue de Detroit.
Son webcomic Awkward Yeti a commencé à la fin de 2012, à la suite d'un livre pour enfants du même nom auto-publié. Au cours des trois années suivantes, sa popularité a atteint des millions de personnes chaque semaine sur son site Web et ses médias sociaux.

How I Broke Up With My Colon is a collection of various contributors' medical stories - often experienced firsthand, although occasionally stories they heard from other people - as illustrated by The Awkward Yeti (Nick Seluk).
If you're a fan of horrifying medical stories told in funny ways, I highly recommend reading this. Warning: some of them are very hard to read and can cause secondhand anxiety (or at least they did in me).
The one that made me laugh until I cried: "Pancakes!" I think it was some combination of that poor new nurse having to simultaneously deal with surprising amounts of blood and massive amounts of vomit.
"Epistaxis" gave me flashbacks to my nosebleed from hell incident a few years back. At least I didn't bleed from my eyes, though.
"The Needle" was illustrated in the most anxiety-inducing way and left me feeling absolutely horrified because it could happen to anybody. Yeesh.
The one I didn't believe: "MacGyver Syndrome." I understand that people will do stupid things, but this seemed like the kind of stupid that would cause way more damage, as well as make it difficult (due to the massive amounts of pain) to explain the stupid thing you did to yourself.

I KNEW I RECOGNIZED THE GALLBLADER FROM SOMEWHERE, THIS IS THE GUY WHO DOES THE AWKWARD YETI
Not quite as good as his comics, but this was cute. The idea is to teach children about the importance of the brain and how it works in the body, but I'm not sure if it would become a household favorite.
