MC Steve

A popular narration style for Middle School kids is journaling. Dear Diary, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Big Nate, etc. This book adds illustrations in a chapter book format, to give the reader a few pages of text with a picture of Minecraft characters sprinkled every few pages. It is a long read for a J book. That may not matter in e-format. I don't find the content to be very interesting. Bullies who want to work with the protagonist? And the protagonist turns them down. This novel based on the Minecraft character Alex is set after Steve has become a local hero in Alex's town. Steve want Alex to help him fix up a local village of mumbling, frowning, unpleasant looking-people. Alex has a problem with the villagers and does not want to help them since she thinks they are mean. Can Steve teach Alex to think about others before herself and will he teach her to not judge others by what she sees before getting to know them. And is there such thing as a baby villager?
