- I'm a very ordinary woman who loves books. I love the outdoors more, but the English weather ensures I have plenty of indoor reading time. I have a passion for Ireland and I'm seeking out Irish authors; just ordinary ones, not the James Joyce type. Patrick McCabe fits the bill pretty well, though his work is both dark and funny. The Butcher Boy is heartrending. That isn't me in the photo, but my dog is better looking!
