- I like to think I am a reader of equal opportunity and willing to try a variety of different genres; however, I tend to enjoy non-fiction especially history (specialty is American History, American Civil War, American West, Iowa History), Fiction including mystery and crime drama, classics, and business and self improvement books.

- By day I am a public servant working in local government. I also enjoy spending time with family and staying involved in the community.
For fun I enjoy activities like geocaching, coaching sports (especially baseball) and of course reading.
I also serve on the board of the historic Harker House where I spend time giving tours and researching and rewriting history for other guides. - Woonplaats
