My plan is to finish the rest of my huge ABC tome, Mary Queen of Scotland and the Isles by Margaret George. If I manage that, then I'll have only 3 ABC books left from 2018 and earlier. There's a chance I may actually complete this goal by the end of the year!

My goal is actually finishing four books this month. I have bailed on way too many books in September. I just need to hang in there!
Now I'm reading two books at once, That is always bad for me because I tend to finish the one I like better and bail on the other. I can't stop doing this, though. I always need to at least peek into my potential next read. Anyone else have this problem? :D

I've had a friend in town staying with me and have been doing a lot of traveling in September, so I really haven't had time to read.
I have a couple of bookboxes coming my way, so my goals for October are to read/finish reading the following:
The Man Who Ate the 747 (started)
The Woman in Cabin 10 (haven't started)
Thousand Pieces of Gold (almost finished)
I also want to read a few YA books and LGBTQ books that I've had in my TBR stack for a while. These should be light, easy, enjoyable reading, so they should go fast.
I also probably need to start (or at least move to the top of my TBRs) a few Advance Reader copies I've been sent that I need to review, and a couple of RABCKs that I have been gifted, including Bedlam: An Intimate Journey into America's Mental Health Crisis and Station Eleven.

How is everyone doing? There are still 2 days left to meet your goals!
I achieved my main goal this month, which was to finish Mary, Queen of Scotland and the Isles by Margaret George, an 870-page book and the oldest ABC book on my shelf. I also finished a roundabout book, The Kind Worth Killing by Peter Swanson, and another off my own shelves, Pearls Before Swine by Margery Allingham, to register and release.

I'm not quite there. My goal was to finish four books, but (of the three that I'm reading now) I haven't gotten close to the end of any of them. I may or may not make it...probably not as tomorrow is Halloween, and i'm having a house guest.

I managed a couple more books before October ended. I finished an ABC book, The Crystal Cave by Mary Stewart, which I loved. I also finished a collection of folk tales Between Worlds by Kevin Crossley-Holland, which I will register and release.

>8 mathgirl40: Halloween was strange. It was very windy and threatened to storm. The number of trick-or-treaters was smaller than usual. The wind kept on blowing out the candle in my Jack O'Lantern so the kids didn't know they could come to my house. At the end of the evening I figured out that I had to put the candle inside of a glass. That worked! :D
