Fiction, horror - I would have been introduced to this/these book(s) in the early 90s. Something tells me it was a series.
Main character is a teenage boy who is visited by a strange teenage ghost girl and this somehow leads to them being in a crazy hellscape, trying to avoid giant titan-like monsters (one was made of lava). He kinda had the hots for the ghost girl... and that's about all I remember.
Does this ring any bells for anyone? I've been trying to identify this book or series for years. Thanks!
