I've searched without any luck, please help

I'm trying to find the title of this book. It's about a woman on a research team studying PCOS, I believe(or something along the lines of women all having similar symptoms). When a woman from her past she thought she'd never see again shows up. The history she has between this new arrival is interesting, they went to grade school thru high school together and she always viewed her as perfect. That is until one night when there studying and the "new arrival" tells her something she will never forget. Shortly after this happens, the "new arrival" moves away and they lose touch. That is until she shows up at her place of employment as competition for a spot on the research team of this big study they just got funding for. At the same time shes connecting with a gentleman at work.

This is all I was able to read on kindle unlimited when my library was eased. Could someone please help me find the title of this book or the author. I'm dying to know how it ends. It's a fiction book, I don't remember the cover or title
