I am working on the LT2 version of the author page (surprise!), and I'm looking for an author that has stranded CK data to test with, and I'm really not sure how to find something like that. Does anyone know of one that's in that state that we could leave for testing purposes?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I've split https://www.librarything.com/author/quinnjoanna today, and havent gotten around to fixing the stranded info yet.

If you need one that's got stranded CK due to combination, rather than split, if that makes a difference, I've just seen: https://www.librarything.com/author/deltarae

Can you guys tell me whether you use the "Current Common Knowledge" section on that page? Because what shows up is different between those two authors, and I'm unclear what's *supposed* to be there.
That is, how do you fix the stranded CK.

>7 knerd.knitter: I would tend to copy-and-paste the relevant fields from the top to the bottom window, save them, then delete the contents of the top window. Then recalculate that work page to make sure it's all gone, then go back to the main page and recalcuate to make sure the "Combination issues" icon has also gone.
If some of the stranded info is on other language sites from the one I'm using, it needs copying to that language.
Sometimes non-localisable fields in the stranded info are reluctant to be deleted, perhaps if they were originally input on non-English sites, but have been assigned by the system to English, mainly gender, DoB and DoD.

>7 knerd.knitter: I use the "Current CK" at the bottom of the place to copy things from the stranded parts into -- it shows you what the main page has now so by editing it, you are adding in the correct place.
It shows differently for split and non-split authors. Split authors can only have disambig note on their CK on the main page. All the rest needs to go to the relevant split. The non-split ones have a complete set of CK and the stranded is a result of a combination.

As >2 Nicole_VanK: author link, clicking on “combination issues” top right corner, opens the stranded CK. You can open another tab to the correct author page and cut and paste, if it’s complicated. But it’s essential to then empty the entries on the stranded CK page.
