The self-congratulatory section at the end where the authors had their fictional Hunter S. Thompson praise them was the only really offensive part. The rest was pretty funny. (

The gonzo voice of Hunter S. Thompson is well-suited as a Lovecraftian narrator, what with his over-the-top ramblings about decay and horrors lurking just outside our view. So, yeah. Pretty entertaining. (

Remember the ad that said "Two great tastes that taste great together"? Well, it applies here. Hunter S Thompson's 'gonzo' style with H P Lovecraft's eldrich mythos blend seamlessly.
