There are repetitive lines that are always good for new readers or listeners to the story.

This is a charming humorous tale about a farm dog named Ragweed. He shares his advice about being a farm dog in this “handbook”. This is a predictable book with patterns and repeated texts like “that’s his job. That’s not your job. And you will really, really want to ____ but don’t.” Ultimately, this funny dog wants to receive biscuits. Children will love participating in the read aloud experience and will add Ragweed into their favorite dogs. The illustrations are just stunning. The cartoon style compliments the text and adds humor. ( )
