"Jack's Tale," by Ellen Stoll Walsh, was a spinoff of a fairytale. It was her own version of a fairytale. In the beginning, the main character, Jack, does not want to be in a fairytale, but the author guides him through the book. The book starts with "once upon a time," has the cliché of a princess being stolen, the main character rescues her, and they live happily ever after. Of course, since the book ends in a happy way, Jack forgives the author for making him face awful trolls. This book is great for any student who likes fairytales. It is different, but entertaining because the main character and the author are having a conversation and the author is trying to convince the main character to just do the fairytale so he can be famous. This book is very different and it is good to expose kids to different, which is why the book is such a great book. ( ) geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
