Teaching about repetition and the significance of it and what it means when the author repeats a line in the book. ( ) This book is about a sneaky possum that is knocking at this families door. He wants to get in but when they finally open the door he's sneaky again and hides behind a tree. The little girl in the story sees the possum and no one believes her. The illustrations in this book are interesting but fit it perfectly. This book is good for rhyming but also good to talk about the trickster and how the little girl is the only one who see him. A possum came a-knockin' on the front door while everyone in the house was busy. Only the child heard the knock, but he or she could not get anyone's attention! Finally the dog and the cat sense the possum at the door and everyone stops to listen. Pa went to check the door but the possum hid behind the tree! The possum tricked the family and made a fool of the child. This book rhymes and is a lot of fun; it is sure to put a smile on any child's face. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
