City noise brings me back to when I lived in San Francisco. This book details the senses that you can expect to experience when you are in a big city. There are so many things to hear and see in a big city and there something new every day. Everyone's experience is different and they get something different out of the city depending on who they are. ( )

This book was very cute. I love how Kuskin really focused on hearing. It's weird to think that there are all these sounds in the city that we're just so accustomed to that we never think about on any given day. ( )

This book is about all the noises you may hear in the city and also things you might see, all in the form of rhyming. Students can come up with all of their own noises they may hear or things they may see in the city. ( )

A little girl finds a tin can and holds it to her ear to see what she can hear. She hears selling, yelling, men, women, dogs, cars, and much more. All the noises are from the city which she calls city noise. This rhyming book would be good when teaching children different sounds and noises, and also when teaching them about the city and how loud and busy it can be. ( )
