Used in Storytime 11/2/17 ( ) I enjoyed the illustrations of the book because I felt like they did a great job at showing how windy tree roots can be and what it looks like under the soil. I also enjoyed how the writing progressed and how each page focused on a different aspect of the tree. Such as beginning with the roots and then continuing to talking about what animals eat the acorns. The illustrations appear very realistic which is very important in a informational text which was also something that I enjoyed. The main idea of the story is to expose the reader to what life as a tree looks like and what animals it affects. This book is a great example of poetry because the words all rhyme. The pictures match well with the text, and it tells a great story. In this book, it explains what happens in a tree and the different animals who come in and out of the tree. One great thing about this book is that it explain that trees are more than just a thing with leaves their homes for animals. I would use this book for teaching habitats to students, And for teaching me in a classroom. Media: oil paints. This story takes you on a journey through a tree. It shows you all the different animals and things that are a part of every bit from the bottom (roots) to the top. I would recommend using this book when talking about animals and where they live. It could also demonstrate to children the importance of one tree. This book falls under the realistic fiction genre. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
