"Resilient Leadership" is an excellent resource book. As has been stated there is not a great deal of new information contained in the book but it is presented concisely in a small and very well outlined package.

This book would be an excellent resource for young adults leaving High School and College environments. It is not so heavy as to discourage those with short attention spans but it is a good summary of necessary life leadership skills that they will be needing.

Every person in a leadership position (i.e. parent, manager, supervisor, husband, etc.) could benefit from reading over this short volume each year as a refresher course to remind them of techniques and truths that they have lost in the shuffle of life.… (meer)

This book focuses on the ABCs -- Actions, Beliefs and Code -- that we can teach our children to be resilient ("the acquired immunity against disabling stress"). After reading the introduction, and looking at myself, these are lessons that we could teach ourselves too.

This book is written in the style of Covey's Seven Habits, but shorter. It is not a quick read because you need to reflect over each section and do the homework for it to be truly effective.

An Optimist's dream! This book is a must have for anyone who needs to be motivated. It is well written and outlines what makes people succeed through even the most harsh circumstances.

Interesting and timely topic though I felt the author's didn't do the topic justice. It reads as very formulaic from a style perspective which I found irritating. The content that is included is good and there are some interesting perspectives that are included. I felt like the chapter summaries introduced new material that wasn't covered earlier in the chapter. Much of the material is covered better in other classic leadership books. As others have mentioned this really didn't catch my interest and as a result I ended up skimming the last 25%. Good concept but follow-through was lacking.… (meer)
