So, this book concisely presents the different methods of note-taking (outline, Cornell, charting, visual) as well as a series of checklists that students should use. It also goes through taking notes on lectures, books, chapters, and articles.
However, as the authors themselves acknowledge, note-taking is a skill. It takes practice. No book can cover that.
This is an extremely quick read that could have been a website or a brief workshop, to be honest. I'm not sure it was worth a whole book. I'd have a hard time asking students to spend money on this.… (meer)
