Summary; This book is about a kid named Trig who goes through many obstacles to outsmart the troll that awaits him on the bridge. Trig needs to cross the bridge just to go to school but the troll claims the bridge and will only bargain with Trig. This book is a good book! great pictures and a great way of expressing unity and the reason to go to school! Recommend!

Summary:
This book is about a little kid who walks to school each day but the troll tries to stop the kid and make him pay a penny. The kid doesn't have a penny to pay the troll to get across the bridge to school. ,So, the kid wants to ask the troll riddle to get across. The troll can never answer the riddles and the trolls mom thinks he needs to go to school. So the little boy takes the troll to school everyday and never has to pay again.

Personal Reaction:
I loved this book because I love fantasy books. This book shows that if you do not go to school you basically won't learn a lot of things. So it tries to tell that children need to go to school.

Classroom Extension Ideas:
1. Have the kids try and solve riddles that are given to them.
2. Have an activity that helps with counting coins.
