There needs to be a book on the French anatomists and the immediate effects of Napoleonic acquisitions. The book also outlines the changing nature of French museum collections and the Musee Sciences. (1), This is a terrific book on the life of the rather elusive Fragonard by Degueurce. There are some fantastic references and it is so interesting to discover how Fragonard's boss Bourgelat actually felt about him (1), This is a terrific compilation of essays with an emphasis on the ethical dimensions of von Hagen's shows. I ordered this through Abe Books and received a personally signed copy which I checked with Michael Sappol some years later. A good preliminary book for anyone interested in the nature of sensibility in perception. A jumping off book for those who might wish to know more about ajnosmia (1), The title may be dry but I have read this book many times. It is a genius of integrative philosophy from a master writer.
