- While writing about economics in Ecuador for a nonprofit think tank, Peter Mountford noticed his byline read "senior associate" for a hedge fund he'd never heard of. It turned out the think tank was running the hedge fund out of its back office--inspiration for "A Young Man's Guide to Late Capitalism". Mountford has lived in Washington, D.C., New York, and Los Angeles, as well as Scotland, Sri Lanka, Ecuador, and Southern Mexico. His fiction has appeared in Best New American Voices 2008, Boston Review, and Conjunctions.

Hotel Angeline: A Novel in 36 Voices door Garth Stein
This was so interesting as it was written in 2 hour increments by so many authors who wrote in a public setting one after the other. I wanted to write a chapter, too. More of a read for how a book could be a collective writing and for the experience.

It wasn't what I expected, so I think that my own expectations (and to be honest, my experience with the ebook publisher) filtered my experience with this story too much to be an honest reviewer. However, if you enjoy books with a quirky atmosphere and don't mind consciously knowing when a story changes authorial hands, then you might very well enjoy it!
