Enola teams up with her brother to locate a woman who has supposedly "died" but whose twin sister is not so sure. The story deals with a practice that was commonly used to "get rid of" pesky wives or daughters - declare them "insane" and have them committed. It's fun to watch Enola and Sherlock approach the case from different angles and then team up for success.

Finally the family threads that have been playing out over the course of the series are going to be wrapped up - Enola will finally discover what has happened to her mother and will reconcile with her brothers. But there is a mystery to be solved too and it is in the course of that mystery that things will come to a resolution.

Florence Nightingale features in this installment and Enola has to figure out the hidden message and then how to get it to the famous recluse. I quite enjoyed the way the various women in this book worked together.

Enola runs into Lady Cecily (of book two fame) and does her magic to help the girl escape a forced marriage while at the same time avoiding her brothers and establishing herself more fully as an independent (girl)woman. Continues to be delightful.
