Book #2 is titled "The Edge"

Das ist ein richtig spannendes Buch ist über einen Jungen, der bei einer Mount-Everest-Expedition mitgeht. Er ist ein extrem guter Kletterer und kann den Gipfel schaffen. Ob es ihm auch gelingt, wird sehr spannend geschildert. Mir hat das Buch sehr gut gefallen und ich glaube, es ist auch super geeignet für Jungen, weil es sehr gut geschrieben und eine wirklich interessante Geschichte erzählt. ( )

After 14-year-old Peak Marcello is arrested scaling a New York City skyscraper, his mother and stepfather negotiate a plea deal where Peak's long-absent father will take him out of the country until the publicity over his stunt dies down. However, his father, a mountaineer who leads expeditions up Mount Everest, has ulterior motives. In order to save his company, he wants Peak to be the youngest person to ever summit Everest. Smith uses rich and fascinating detail about sherpas, Tibet, Buddhism, climbing Everest, and the personalities of those who attempt the summit. The first-person narrative is not believable as the voice of a 14-year-old boy, but the rich detail and action-adventure keeps you turning the pages. ( )
