I've started New Grub Street and have plans to read a book or two from Greece, probably The Daughter or The Third Wedding.

I just read a chunk of Anniversaries and next week I hope to start New Grub Street. On audio, about to finish Effie Briest.

I've just finished Foundation by Isaac Asimov. I must say I do enjoy a well-written piece of science fiction.

I am in the last quarter of The Crow Road by Iain Banks. I am enjoying this family drama.

Just wrapped up Hard Times. On to North and South. If the author of the former complimented the author of the latter, then it must be something insanely awesome.

I'm reading Howard's End by E. M. Forster. It is exactly what I was hoping for so I'm enjoying it tremendously.

On paper I'm reading The Double which was a Group Read a year or so ago but I missed it. I read your discussion, though. Agree with somebody that the lack of paragraph breaks makes it hard to remember where one left off reading but I am nonetheless enjoying it a lot.

On audio, I'm listening to Caleb Williams which is highly satisfactory in a late 18th-century way. The villains are so deliciously villainous!

Covid has finally caught up with my family. My wife and I are sick but not terribly so, which means I can sit on the couch and get some reading done. Turns out I, Robot by Isaac Asimov is pretty good comfort reading.

I've started La Mare au diable by George Sand.

>14 Cecilturtle: Thanks - I feel fine now and it wasn't too bad to begin with. My wife suffered more, but luckily she is also better.

I just picked up New Grub Street and Zorba the Greek from the library, so one of them will likely be next.
